BOWLING
DUNEDIN CENTRE EXECUTIVE. The first meeting of clubs’, delegates who arc to conduct the affairs of the Dunedin Bowling Centre for nest season was held last night. Mr W. I. Henaghan (the new chairman) presided. Delegates present were—Messrs VV. Mdlin (Balmacowen), W. Connor (West Harbor), E. Falconer (Otago), D.M. Pastier (St. Clair), R. H. Todd (Caversham), J. Harraway (Roslyn), J. Tonkin (North-cast Valley),. J. M Gregor (Knikorai), A. J. Sullivan (Dunedin), R. H. Ledlio (Anderson s Bay), H. Rowley (Leith), and G. Scott (Mornington). The President briefly welcomed the gentlemen who acted on the executive for the first time, and expressed the wish that they would have a pleasant term of office. A letter was received from Mr Alex. M'Kensie, who held a position on the executive as immediate past president, intimating that ho would be very unlikely to attend any meeting on account of business engagements. As this practically disfranchised Kaitnna Club from being represented on the executive, it was resolved to notify the club that it might bo well to appoint a substitute.
Intimation was received that Mr Lindsay Miller had been appointed as Green. Island Club’s delegate on the executive. It was resolved that entries for the interolub, four-rink, and rink championship matches be received till September 11.
A sub-committee consisting of Messrs Sullivan, Jas. Harraway, Falconer, Millin, and M'Gregor was appointed to arrange the draw for next season. The Match Committee selected was Messrs R. H. Todd, W. T. Henaghan, and D. M. Fas tier.
The Selection Committee appointed comprised Messrs Falconer, Tonkin, and Sullivan, The dates for the shield rink competition were fixed for the Saturday preceding and Anniversary Day. For the champion of champions competition tho dates fixed were first Friday and Saturday in March. It was.resolved, in reference to the Easter tournament, that singles, pairs, and rinks bo played. Messrs Falconer, Millin, and Connor were appointed a sub-committee to consider the form the trophy for the interclub matches should take in future.
It was resolved that monthly meetings bo held on the third Monday.
