(Ilecoivcd August 17, at 9.20 a.m.) Tho annual report presented by the Federal Viticulture! Council of Australia, referring to tho export of Australian wino to New Zealand, says that the Commonwealth Wino Export Bounty Act had a detrimental effect on tho wine industry there. Tho New Zealand Government threatened to impose a dumping duty unless tho payment df tho bounty ceased. The Viticulture! Council agreed,Hint tho bounty on sweet wines exported to New Zealand should bo discontinued, one condition being that tho Federal Government should allow a refund of Is Cd.of tho Excise duty paid on all fortified wino complying with the provisions of tho Wino Export Bounty Act and exported to New Zealand.
