KAIKORAI BAND CONCERT
That the series of Sunday evening concerts given by tho Knikorai Band are growing in popularity was evidenced by the large attendance at His Majesty’s Theatre last evening, the dress circle being filled and also the greater part of downstairs. The band, under Mr E. Franklin, was in excellent form, and each of its numbers met with hearty appreciation. The march • Colonel Bogey,’ a particularly good item, was encored. The assisting artists were Mr Bert Rawlinson, who rendered ‘ I Feel the Deity Within ’ and ‘ Ann, Ann, Ye Bravo ’ from- ‘ Judas Maccahams,’ and ‘ The Flower Dg,uce,’ each item being well received; M.r T. Levy, a flute solo, ‘Romance’; and Mr E. Andrews, a xylophone solo, for which he was Miss C. Hughes acted as accompanist in a most capable manner. Tho band’s next concert is to bo he]d on the 29 th inst.
