The two leading teams, High School Old Boys and Albany Old Boys, met on No. 1 ground under very agreeable conditions. Albany dominated the play from the opening _ bully, and maintained pressure on their opponents’ goal during the greater part of the first spell. High School Old Boys gave a lot away to tho Colors by frequent infringements, and enabled them to net two goals, by which margin they led at' half-time. The second spell was conspicuous for better defence by High School, their forwards having several opportunities of scoring, but Twose, in goal for Albany, was very safe. He brought off some brilliant saves, repeatedly turning defence into attack. Albany made one or two threatening assaults, and scored a third goal, making tho scores 3 to nil, and the game ended with this figure. Dr H. B. Turbott and Mr J. A. Robinson controlled the game. For the winners Twose was the most prominent. Others who played well were Brown, Renwick. Wallace, and Higginson. For the High School Old Boys Tyrrell, Simpson, and Greenslade were as good as any. The result of this match leaves High School Old Boys top by one point only.
