TWENTY-THREE MEN PLACED Since yesterday there have been five additional registrations at the Labor Department’s Unemployment Bureau, the present total on the register being 298. At the Town Hall there have been seven enrolments—six single men and one married man. • Six men were sent to tho council’s construction work at Lookout Point, and five single men to the same place. Five single men have been given employment at tho reserve beside the Arthur Street School, and four married men and one single man have been found work at Logan Park. Also, one single and one married man have been given private employment, Tho position is really almost unchanged. Little headway is being made in tho reduction of tho numbers.
