Her mother, after listening vainly, asked the child what it was she said. “‘Ah ladies!’ replied the little one; “ that makes it fair." Smith: “Henry is the meanest man I know.” Jones: “HoW is that?” Smith; “In order to save on his laundry hill be hides his socks in his pyjama pockets.”
