VOTE TO GOAL MINERS
MOTION RESCINDED [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, August 4. The Auckland Typographical Union, at a meeting, rescinded by a large majority a resolution passed at the half-yearly meeting on July 24 voting £SO to the funds or the coal miners on strike in Great Britain. This action was taken on the ground that the vote was outside the objects provided for in the union’s rules and was contrary to the spirit of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, under which the union was registered.
