WEDDING

• JENKINS—BROGDEN. The marriage was recently solemnised in All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, of Miss • Gladys A. Brogden, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. J. Brogden, of Fitzherbert, and Mr K. B. Jenkins, son of Mr and Mrs Jenkins, or Dunedin, The church had been prettily decorated for the occasion with pink blossoms. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming,in a dress of cream beaded georgette, with veil of Brussels lace, and a train of cream satin underlined with pink georgette. The bridesmaids '—Misses T. Brogden (sister) and A. Rowlands (cousin) —wore turquoise georgette trimmed with coffee lace and tulle bandeaux to tone. The bouquets, which had beea made by; Mea»

dames Thom ley and Wilton, aunts of the bride, were dainty creations, tho hrido’s being autumn-tinted flowers and leaves, and the bridesmaids’ of scarlet berries and African daisies. Mr C. Jenkins supported his brother, tho bridegroom, as best man, and < Mr F. Brogden, brother of tho brido, as groomsman. A reception was held later in tho Orange Hall. Sirs Brogden wore a black ensemble suit with touches of white, and carried a posy of lavender flowers. Mrs Jenkins was attired in black velour cloth with ermine collar and cuffs. Her bouquet was of autumn tints. The wedding cake was a feature of tho well-laden _ tables, having been made by the bride herself and iced by her sister, Mrs KPerry Tho honeymoon was spent in tho north, the happy couple leaving by car. Tho bride travelled in an ensemble suit of blue, with squirrel cuffs and collar, and hat to match.
