AN INDIAN SCIENTIST'S INVESTIGATIONS. "Do plants fall in love?” is a question which may possibly be solved, according' to Sir Jagadis Chandra Boss, founder of fh» famous Boso Research Institute, Calcutta. Lord lee, presiding over a luncheon in Sir J. C. Bose's honor, said he had asked Sir Jagadis if he had considered the idea, of experimenting with plants to catch their emotion the moment a. bee was withdrawing pollen from ,a male for the 'fertilisation of the female, in order to discover whether there was any suggestion of a plant falling in. love. . , Lord Lee added that Sir Jagadis had been experimenting with this purpose in view for yrors, but was iot yet in a position to announce the results.
