Edward Russell Watte, who was remanded on a- charge of stealing a pearl necklace valued at £II,OOO, tho property of a Regent street jeweller, informed a detective that be left a. hotel in London', posted tho necklace to a lady at Plymouth, and asked her to forward it to him at a Paris hotel.
