DRUIDISM
The R.A. Chapter paid a.n official visit to tho Rose of Palmerston Lodge. The District was well represented, some eighty brethren from the various lodges in°No. 1 and 2 District making the trip. The object of the visit was to grant degrees, and <aJso to stiinulnt-e Dmidism 'in the Palmerston district. The Hampden and Wa.ikoua.iti Lodges also journeyed to Palmerston, and altogether some 150 brethren were present. Tho chapter is to bo complimented on organising the visit, _ and it is its intention to pay a Visit Ho Hampden in the near future. The U.A.O.D. annual ball was hoid in the Earlv Settlers’ Ball, some 133 couples taking tho floor. Excellent music was supplied by the Kapai Orchestra. Tho Gra.nd President (Bro. I. A. L. Oliver), who journeyed from Clinton for the occasion, led tho grand march, ami also welcomed tho gathering on behalf of the committee and the Druidic Order in general. Mr G. Ellison provided many nice dainties, which were done ample justice to. The committee, under the direction of D.P. Bro. E. M‘Fa rhino, worked hard to make the function the success which it 'attained.
the regular meeting of the Royal Oak Lodge was held in the lodge room, Cavcrshn-m, A.D. Bro. Isaac presiding. D.P. Bro. Harvey was present officially. Official visits were received from members of the Enterprise, Bay, and Mistletoe Lodges, all receiving a hearty welcome. One candidate was proposed for initiation. Sec. Bro. GhurcniU was elected delegate >to the Booklet Committee. A.D. Bro. Isaac reported on the combined ball, and also the visifc to the Rose of Pa.lmerston Lodge. The visitors were entertained at cards. The meeting of All Nations Lodge was held on Tuesday Last, V.A. Bro. M'Gregor presiding over a good attendance of members. Bro. Jacobson waa elected delegate to the Booklet Committee. it was decided to enter a team in the Boss-Stowart Shield competition. Reports were received from the Dance Committee, and also from the members who made the trip to Palmerston. The principal business was the discussion of the suggested rules regarding lodgs etiquette, members agreeing that they were on the right line. D.P, Bro. M'Farhme paid <ia official visit, and responded l(o the toast.
