ODDFELLOWS

A meeting of tho Vincent Lodge of the 1.0.0. F., New Zealand (Alexandra), was hold under Grand Lodge dispensation on Wednesday evening in the Hand Room, Alexandra. Bro. W. R. Mecliaelis presided over an attendance of twenty-one members. Three candidates were initiated 'into the order by the local officers in an impressive manner, and five more were proposed. The following office if. were nominated for installation as the first term of officers for tho new iodms:—Noble Grand, Bro. W. R. Mecliaelis; Vice-grand, Bro. J. Lunn; financial secretary, Bro. C. J. Ashley; treasurer, Bro. H. P. Cowie; recording secretary, Bro. R. J. Hamilton; Past Grand, Bro. M. M. Robertson, P.G.; chaplain, Bro. R. Kiunaird; warden, Bro. F. Belcher; conductor, Bro. L. G. Townsend; R.S.S., Bro. J. L, Thomas; L.S.S., Bro. E. E. Booth; inside guardian, Bro. G. H. Fox; outside guardian, Bro. J. Hand; R.S.N.G., Bro. G. R. Lewis; L.S.N.G., Bro. A. A. Ashworth; R.8.V.G., Bro. W. Faithful; L.S.V.G., Bro. W. G, Stewart; scene officers—Bros. Mark Davis, F. Phillips, D. A. Baker, D. T. Schaumann, W. Tilcy; trustees—Bros. A. A. Ashworth, J. J. O’Kane, S. Rutherford; charter members—Bros. W. R. Mechaelis, J. Lunn, F. Belcher, M. Robertson, r. G., 6. H. Pox, A. A. Ashworth, J, J. O’Kane, P. S. Kiunaird. Tho Kawarau Orchestra, from the lodge at Cromwell, offered its services for tho dance programme, in conjunction with tho public installation, in the Town Hall, Alexandra, on tho 22nd inst., when the Grand Lodge officers from Dunedin will bo in attendance. A strong committee was appointed to arrange for tho musical nrogramme and the entertainment of the visitors. The degrees will be conferred on the officers elect by the dominion supervisor, Bro. W. E. Crooke, on Wedensday next.
