SHIPBOARD TRAGEDY. STOKERS SENTENCED. Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. PARIS, July 8. Six men, who were charged with the manslaughter of the Arab stowaways; were sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and fined COO francs, in addition to costs. One was acquitted.—Reuter. [Thirty-one Arabs stowed away on board tho Sidi Ferruch at Algiers, and when the bunkers wore opened at Marseilles eleven were found dead. Three of the stokers were alleged to have been responsible for the tragedy, as they must have known that tho ballast was liable to be flooded in the event of a displacement of the cargo.]
