ENGLISH FUTURISTS
The theatregoers of Dunedin are promised a rare treat when the ( English Futurists” (a company of sixteen artists) commence a season of one week and a matinee at His Majesty’s Theatre on Alonday, July 19. The company is on a world tour, and has completed a wonderful season in Wellington and Christchurch. G. W. Desmond and Cyril Northcote, who present this talented company, will be remembered by many as principal comedians with the late Sydney James’s “Royal' Strollers,” who toured New Zealand some years ago. The show is enhanced by the inclusion of the “Cabaret Kittens,” a sprightly ballet, and tho Futurists’ jazz orchestra, ami vocally by a soprano, contralto, operatic tenor, and a baritone. There are four comedians of entirely different types, and incomparable dances. Interspersed between some beautiful song scenes, delightful solo nnm!ic- - s, and concerteds are some entirely now and up-to-date skits and burlesques written by Loudon’s leading revue writers.
