ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
A MAORI DROWNED. Watene Koraara, aged forty-five, was drowned while attempting to ford the Waiapu River on horseback. Tho river was high and the crossing dangerous. The horse got into a hole and dislodged tho rider, who soon disappeared.—Gisborne Press Association .telegram.
