DEATH DURING OPERATION. An inquest was held at Taihape yesterday into the death of Patrick James Quinlan, aged twenty-two, who succumbed while having some teeth extracted under an amesthetic. A post mortem examination revealed that death was duo to syncope predisposed to by the poor development of the muscles on the ventricle of the heart. The medical evidence showed that every precaution had been taken prior to the administration of the amosthetic, and every medical resource bad been tried lor restoration. The coroner’s verdict was in accordance with the medical evidence, and, further, that there was no evidence of neglect or carelessness on the paid of the doctor or the dentist.
