LADIES' HOCKEY
OTAGO V. SOUTHLAND The weekly meeting of the executive of the Otago Ladies’ Hockey Association was held last evening. Present: Mrs 11. Hudson (in the chair), Mrs Nelson, Misses Campbell, White, Adams, Hughes, Prockio, Anderson, and Hill. A letter was received from the Southland Association stating that its representative team would journey to Dunedin on Saturday morning next, and return tho same day. The Selection Committee advised that the following Otago representative team had been .selected to play against Southland:—Goalkeeper, Miss C. Penfell; full-backs, Misses M. Thomson and M. Kingston; half-backs—Misses A. Mackie, D. Coghill, M. Plngdon; forwards—Misses L. Hendra, E. Warlvurton, H. Kcddell, N. Mullingcr, P. Lawson: emergencies—Misses M. Lane, N. Ireland. R. Gosney. Miss M. Thomson will captain tho team.
It was decided that a lecture on hockey bo arranged for Friday evening next, in the Y.M.G.A. A letter was received from the "Watca. Ladies’ Club thanking the association for the arrangements of the sevon-a-sido tournament, and also Mr P. \V, Shaddock for the luncheon provided.
