The terms of the settlement, which have to bo ratified by aggregate meetings of the men, are as follow. — The employees to resume on the pro-strike basis. The owners to reinstate all employees presenting Themselves ior work. All collieries to resume on the same The owners to abandon legal proceedings against the union and union officials.
Mr Justice Hihhle stated that if these terms wore agreed to ho would immediately summon the Coal Tribunal to hear the men’s claims. The owners agreed, and the employees representatives stated that they would place the terms before aggregate meetings of the men on Wednesday, and report hack to the conference on Thursday. The meetings are certain to ratify the settlement, thus terminating a strike which has paralysed the industry throughout the Commonwealth.
