’A deputation from the South Canterbury Power Board waited on Mr Coates at Wellington and asked when the second transmission line from Coleridge to Timarn would be completed, Snd also for information regarding the evelopment of the second source of supply for South Canterbury. Mr G. A- Gavey, inspecting electrical engineer of the Public Works Department, said, in reply to Mr Coates, that the second lino should be through by the end of August. Regarding the second source of supply, Mr Coates stated that, according to calculations, the rest of the installation should be started Jn 1927. It would be a mistake to say definitely whether it would be in South Canterbury or not, as all the data must be examined. Replying to the Hon. J. G. Rolleston, Mr Gavey said the new Coleridge unit would bo operating in July. I 41 Is Mrs Smith at home?” asked the rate collector. “ Yes, but she isn't receiving to-day,” answered the maid. \ Oh, but that wiK be all right. I’m 'pfi delivering—l’m collecting.’’
