HOME SECRETARY'S STATEMENT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, June 10. (Received June 11, at noon.) In the House of Commons, Sir W. Joynson-Hicks (Homo Secretary) said the Foreign Office was satisfied that the Russian Government had sent money to Britain for the purposes of the general strike. Air Ramsay MacDonald pointed out that the strike leaders had refused that money. Sir W. Joynson-Hicks, continuing, said that money had been sent to the Minors’ Federation by some very closely correlated bodies in Russia, comprising the Soviet Government, the Third International, and other organisations, though it had not yet been established that the Soviet Government itself had directly sent themonsy. —A. and N.Z.
