RIFLES FOR RUSSIANS
CONTRACT WITH GERMAN FIRM UNLIMITED QUANTITIES. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright RIGA, June 7. The Soviet has contracted with a German firm for the supply of unlimited quantities of small-calibre rifles, at 30 roubles each, to facilitate private practice all over Russia. The newspaper ‘ fzvestia ’ declares that it is intended to encourage rifle club’s even more than has been done so far, as this is the surest method of militarising tho Soviet Union’s population.—‘The Times.’
