Bates) supplied the following at noon to-day:—The indications are for northerly winds, moderate to strong prevailing and freshening; weather fair to cloudy, with haze and cloudiness for change; barometer falling; sea moderate, tides good. ARRIVED.—.Tune 8. . Waipori, s.s, (6 p.m.), 1,221 tons, Knowles, from Bluff. SAILED.—Juno 8. Wingatui, s.s. (6.10 p.m.), 1,344 lons, Jaunay, for Wellington and Auckland via South Island ports. Storm, s.s. (10 p.m.), 749 tons, Sheppard, for Oamaru. The Storm sailed last night for Oamaru. The Wingatui sailed last night for Oamaru, Timaru,. Lyttelton, Wellington. and Auckland. The Waipori, which arrived from Bluff last evening, is to sail on Friday for Timaru, Westport, and Gr'eymouth. The Knretu sails this evening for Bluff, Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Sydney, and Melbourne. It is expected that the Waipahi will leave Lyttelton this evening for Dun-, edin. On arrival here she will withdraw for docking. She will probably resume at the end of next week.
The Kahika left Gisborne yesterday for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is duo here on Saturday and will load out the same day for Napier and Gisborne via ports. , ‘ , The Knrow left Auckland yesterday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is expected hero on Tuesday.
The Waikouaiti loads at Sydney this week for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. . , , The Breeze, from Wanganui via ports, is due hero on Thursday. She will sail on Friday' for Tiinaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Cal in is due here on' Monday from Bluff. After unloading over 6,0(30 tons of phosphates _ from Florida the steamer Mesopotamia was to leave Auckland today for Westport for hunkers. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Mararoa, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 8.50 a.m. to-day, and passengers and mails connected with the first exprass. KARF/FU TO LOAD. The Karctu is to load at Sydney and Melbourne for Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. She is expected hero about the last week in June. THE WAIKOUA ITT. Towards the end of June the Waikouaiti will load at Wellington for Lyttelton. Timaru, Dunedin, Bluff, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Two of the Norwegian whale chasers have completed, repairs in dry dock at Port Chalmers. In addition to repairs these vessels have had ice plates fitted to strengthen the li.aU, so that they may lead the chaser fleet through the ice. Two other chasers are expected from Stewart Island at the end of the week to undergo overhaul, and their- crews will take the two repaired vessels back to the base at Stewart Island. CUMBERLAND CLEARS COLON. Homeward bound from New Zealand, cable advice states that the steamer Cumberland, which left Auckland on May 14 for London and West of England ports, arrived at- Balboa on- June 3, and sailed from Colon the same day in continuation of her voyage. HERTFORD FROM LIVERPOOL. The steamer Hertford arrived at Auckland yesterday from Liverpool with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Qhalmers.
