EX-KAISER AS A SHOW

A recent visitor to Doom tells me that William of Hohenzollern is a distinct asset to that part of Holland (says a ‘ Evening Standard ’ writer). If he has ceased to be Kaiser he has become an entertainment. Tourists from all parts of the world drive the fifteen miles from Utrecht, which has thought it worth while to run a half-hourly bus service, to see his charming place of exile. When my informant was at Doom a couple of young German students, boys of good family, arrived. They had bicycled all the way from tho Rhineland with little Imperial flags on their machines. Much to their gratification there emerged a lady or the household and the Princess Carolath, the Kaiser’s stepdaughter. A conversation ensued, and the ladies graciously produced picture post cards from their bags and presented them to tho young Monarchists.
