AFFORESTATION
HELPING DOMINION PUBLICITY New Zealand lias initiated man j great causes. Paramount amongst them is that of afforestation, which has now achieved its national status. The world’s urgent need of soft woods has attarcted the attention of the investing public towards scientific tree planting. The propaganda of the Pioneer Commercial Afforestation enterprise a’s of great benefit to the dominion from a publicity point of view in spreading information of value to the dominion in a broad world sense. The enterprise of afforestatioif pioneers is conspicuous in many places, and, indeed, the motion picture sphere has been invaded with good results to everybody. Recently excellent films, similar to those of the Government Publicity Department, w<Jre released to enthusiastic audiences throughout the dominion and in Australia. Expert cinema-photographers were brought over froin Australia, and leading scenario-writers assisted in the promotion of some valuable contributions to motion picture photography. The power of the Press has not been overlooked, and information on afforestation, which is worthy of the serions attention of everybody, has been carried into every household.
