GRAIN AND PRODUCE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., repoit as follows:—■ Oats.—Owing to the abs’oie (f inquiries for oats from the norrh, i:tile business is being transacted. A few lines have been sold, but these lir.vo been mainly for local consumption, a few choice lines being for seed purposes. Wo quote: A Cartons, 3s lOd; B Cartons, 3s 7d per bushel, on truck,-. ‘ Wheat.—The wheat market is unchanged. Millers are offer.ng ‘-is Sd lor Tuscan, 6s lOd for Hunters, and is lor Velvet, prices being f.o.b Farmers however, are not disposed to sell at these figures. Fowl wheat is still being supplied from Canterbury Potatoes. — Consignments are ernong forward freely, but as the demand is sufficient to absorb urn s’.p.nly pi ices remain steady. Good tabl’s f;eshly dug are realising £7 Ids pur ten, ox truck, sacks in. Chaff.—The quantity coming laniard has increased, and sales are ury difficult to make, as local feeders are now well supplied. Medium and i.iferio’ - grades are unsaleable. We quote: A Gartons, 3s Lid; B Gallons, 3s 7d, both sacks extra, on trunks country stations. Wheat.—Millers are holding to their fixed rates, and very little business is passing. Fowl •wheat is in fair demand at late quotations. Chaff.—-Consignments have been arriving freely, but only prinie quality can be disposed of, and this is worth from ’£6 to £6 5s per ton, sacks' extra, ex truck. Medium and inferior can only be. disposed of ex store as occasion offers at from £3 to £4 10s per ton,-sacks extra.
