The four-wheel brakes are hydraulically operated by a gear-driven pump built integrally with the , gear box operating on two pistons also enclosed in the gear-box; these pistons actuate the brakes through suitable controls. Slight pressure on the brake pedal operates a valvo controlling the pump, and braking power is developed automatically by the pump and not by manual power. The front wheel brakes are totally enclosed and of the internal-expanding typo. Rear wheel brakes are external-contracting. The front wheels cannot lock. The rear wheels cannot remain locked, because the moment they lock and stop turning, the braking pressure is released.
