A DAY OF MOURNING Press Association —By Telegraph —Copyright BERLIN, February 28. (Received March 1, at 10.15 a.m.) To-day was observed throughout Germany as a day of mourning for her war dead. President Hindqriburg and the Government issued a joint manifesto declaring that the German people cannot be destroyed provided they remain united and loyal. All tho flags were half-masted, and theatres and places of amusement were closed. Memorial services were held. The Socialists and Democrats simultaneously observed tho anniversary of tho death of Herr Ebert.—Reuter.
