AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS WIN FOR MISS PAGE Press AsMciataon—By Telegraph—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Press Association. SYDNEY, February 28. Tbe following are the results of the ladies’ swimming races on Saturday:— 220 Yards Freo-style Championship of Australia.—Piri Page (New Zealand) 1, Clare Couldwell 2, M. Broughton 3, Ena Stockley (New Zealand) 4. The start was delayed, the Now Zealanders taking the water before the flag fell, and they were recalled. Miss Pago had the best of the restart, but Miss Stockley put in a fine sprint, and quickly took the lead. Miss Couldwell joined .her, and the pair swam together halfway down the second lap, where Miss Page came along and again went to the front. Maintaining a lead to the finish, she won easily by syds. Miss Stockley was just beaten for third place. Time, 2min 54 4-ssec. 220 Yards Breast-stroke Championship.—E. Robertson I, J. Sherridan 2, E. Mealing 3 (all New South Wales). Won by 7yds. Time, 3min 40 2-ssec.
