The bush fires are now raging over the whole southern district from Albert to Canberra. They have already swept 200,000 acres of forest and pastures. A largo number of fire-fighters are out in all directions, hut their efforts are futile, the flames rushing on before a high westerly wind. Later.
The bush fires are still raging over a great area around Albury and Gundagai.
