With 27 on the hoard Smith replaced Flavor at the bowling crease. Sneddon next replaced Simpson. An hour's play saw a total of G-L " itn the batsmen’s opening out to Sneddon avid Smith. Twenty-eight runs were .scored in a quarter of an hour. With the total at 71 liorspoo! replaced Smith, and Anthony went on instead of Snedden. Eighty-five went up for 70 minutes’ play. Gregory reached his half-century with a single off Anthony. Cox brought up the century with a single mier 80 minutes play. At the luncheon adjournment the score was no wickets for 107 (Gregory EG, Cox 42; extras 9)>
