Dunedin millers prices arc as follow : -Flour, ,CIH JOs; oatmeal, £24 ; bran, £S Ids; pollard, Ills. The potato market has tinned up, and sound old potatoes are now otf the market. Now season potatoes have been in short' supply. Best Peninsula potatoes have sold up to 4.U1 lb. Tho market to-day is round about 3d for local grown ami 2d to 21d lor northern grown. Supplies are still short. The onion market has eased, but consignments ol Canadians have come on to tho market, and these have, been ntfe-ring to-day round about 2ils per crate. Melbourne onions arc also offering at I lie same figure. Business in the trait marts has been busy during the week, hut the demand lias not been up to the usual lor this time of the year, and prices have boon low. Canadian apples have been in over-supply, and selling round about ISs per case for good quality. Localgrown Stunners of good quality that have been held in cool stores arc oflcrmg at lbs per case, and sales are slow. Large consignments ol oranges have conic forward on this market, but these have been a glut and difficult io sell. Bananas in particular have been very short supply and prices high. Owing to the u nsa list act ory state ol the shipping, bananas wore, in very short supply during I,ho Christmas time, t-,t raw berries aro now corning forward freely, and the, prices arc reasonable. _ Raspberries aro also offering, and prices, are. lower than usual. Peaches and apricots are very late (his season and just starting to come on the market. 'J omatocs have been in good supply, and consignments should increase from now on. Prices have been lower than usual for this time of the year. 1 hero is a good demand for all lines oi vegetables. Pe.as have been in good supply and are selling to-day round about 4d per lb. Tho egg market has eased during the week, and ail lots coming forward aro readily placed. _ Everything points to tho prices firming shortly, .Householders would bo wise to buy eggs tor winter preserving. Hams and bacon have been in good supply, and lair quantities have boon disposed of. There is a good inquiry for fully-matured cheese. Dairy pafc butter is coining forward more freely, and the market has cased. There is a good inquiry for first-grade honey, which is selling round about s’d per ‘ lb.
