Tho ‘Daily Telegraph,’ commenting on the New Zealand cricketers’ tour, said: “The team, since tho tour first opened at Brisbane, has shown wonderful improvement. It possesses some enterprising batsmen, and Cmmingham is a bowler of outstanding ability. Blunt and Dacre were two brilliant batsmen, and Lowry also was a great success. Ailcott performed well. Tho fielding of the side was good all round. One thing tbo tour has shown is that the standard of cricket in the dominion is improving. They were given an enthusiastic welcome at the railway station by a large gathering of howlers, including Mr Mercer, the president of the Dominion Bow-ling Association.
