(Received January 8, at 1.30 a.m.) When the flood' in the AYagga district struck Jniieo the water swept through the town like breaker's at the seaside, carrying everything before it. The damage to the town alone is estimated at many thousands of pounds. The roads in the; district are littered with drowned cattle and horses. DELUGE IN MELBOURNE. CYCLONE FOLLOWS. MELBOURNE, January 7. (Received January 8. at 1..3U a.m.) A violent storm deluged the city ami suburbs early this morning. Many of the low-lying districts are Hooded. The storm was followed by a cyclone in the afternoon, which unroofed buildings ami tore down telephone and telegraph wires.
Many small yachts in the bay were swept ashore.
