WHEAT AND FLOUR IMPORTATIONS
MISTER STATES CONDITIONS'

WELLINGTON, January 7
The Minister of Agriculture to-day made an announcement relative to the importation of wheat and Hour in’the immediate future. He said that notwithstanding the recently gazetted prohibition of importation, general permission is granted for the importation of wheat, flour, wheatmeal, and ground wheat if imported on or after January 13, 1926, subject to the following conditions : 1. That such wheat, flour, wheatmeal, or ground wheat can bo shown, to the satisfaction of the Collector of Customs, to have been ordered from abroad not later than January 7, 1926. 2. That such wheat, flour, wheatmeal, or ground wheat be imported into New Zealand not later than January 31, 1926. 3. That except in cases of fowl wheat admitted under permit free of ordinary Customs duty, all such goods shall pay ordinary duties. 4. That all snob goods shall comply with the regulations under the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908.
