THE UNION JACK

DEMONSTRATION BY FACISTS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 21. (Received December 22, at 10 a.m.) The National Fascist! early in tho morning, at great risk, climbed to the roof of the Battersea Town Hall, and hoisted the Union Jack, which tho Laborite' Council had refused to fly since 1919. The Fascisti cut the lanyard, preventing the removal of the flag until tho 30ft flagstaff had been climbed or dismantled. They pinned a note to tho Town Hall door, stating that the Fascisti wore determined that tho Union Jack should be supreme. They warned tho council “not to fly the foul red flag, as loyal citizens demand to live under the British flag.”— Sydney ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
