WIRTH' CIRCUS
■ OPENING AT DRILL HALL TO-NIGHT TVirths’ Circus was to have opened on a section off the Highway last evening, hut after battling in the gale for several hours to erect the principal marquee the attempt was abandoned, and no performance could be given. Arrangements were made with the military authorities to obtain the use of the" Kensington Drill Hall, and the big show was transferred to the new location last evening. The first performance will he given there to-night. The .stars featured on the bill this season include the Honey Sisters, who appear in a number of acts unsurpassed lor grace ami skill; Allred Clark, the world's rider ; Tonvlli’s surprise packet of a circus within a circus, with its screamingly funny ponies, mules, dogs, monkeys, and clowns: Captain Betts amazing trained seals; Miss Eileen May and her trained baby elephants (Peggy and Jumbo and many others), to say nothing of tin army' of the funniest clowns that ever cracked jokes. A feature is the reappearance of MrP. Wirth alter an absence ot ten years. Jealously maintaining the reputation that they have built, up through the years that have passed, the Wirth Bros, have spared no expense to preserve the exceptionally high standard that places their show on an unapproachable pinnacle. Wirth Bros.’ great hand is now in charge of Hughic M‘Mahon, the emperor of the cornet. The menagerie w ill he open from 4 to 5 p.iu. daily_ in order to give an opportunity of seeing the wild beasts fed. The box plan is a h The Bristol for reserves.
