Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under :
Wellington and North Island districts, Christchurch, and all northern offices, daily, at 7 a.m. and at 10.45 a.m. south Otago and Invercargill districts at 7.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. Otago Central district, 6 a.m. WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 23. For Australian States, South Africa, and the East via Sydney (per Mautiganui, from Wellington), by north express, at 10.30 a.m. Late-lee letters at C.P.O. at 11 a.m.; also at railway station at 11.25 a,.m. F. W. Penltnotox, Chief Postmaster.
