BRITISH DELEGATION TOUR OF THE EMPIRE. Pres* Association— By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. December 18. The High Commissioners tendered a farewell to the British University students’ delegation at Canada House prior to its start on an Empire tour. The delegation includes Afr May, presiednfc of the National Union of Students and convenor of the Imperial Conference students in 192-1, where the project originated; Air M‘Donald, treasurer of the International Confedcrv tion of Students and president of tho Scottish Students’ Union ; Ah' Alolson. president of the Oxford Union: and Air Paul Reed, of London University, who recently returned from Smith Africa vith a similar delegation. The purpose of the mission is to promote university co-operation and camaraderie throughout the Empire. Leaving Liverpool cn July -1, the delegation will spend two months in Canada, going tlionco by the Aorangi to Auckland where it will arrive in time for the inter-nnivorsity tournament. A month will bo spent visiting different parts of Now Zealand and debating with the New Zealand univerlities. The party will go_thence to Australia, where the. negotiations for the programme arc not, yet completed and will re'.nrn to England in June.— A. and N.Z. Cable.
