THE BAND

Big crowds listen daily and nighllv to the magnificent music, of the Argyll and Sutherland Band. The Bnssian theme alternated with the French ‘Marseillaise. 1 which gradually grew fainter and fainter in the retreat. Tim pipers iccre heard in three items, one ot which was a march entitled ‘third's farewell to Queenstown.’ The ’evening s programme includes by SamtSaens, Coleridge Taylor, 'Wagner, and Drofla, and there are, also pipe selections, excerpts from Sullivan's operas, one of Ken.' J. Alford’s compositions, and a dancing item, among other attractive offerings.
