WHICH ROUTE?

The question of the traffic route to and from the Exhibition is being freely discussed in some quarters, and the general opinion favors an alteration to provide for the route to Logan Park being taken via George, King, Cumberland, and Ccastle streets into Union street, and the return journey by the Highway. It docs appear to be the natural trend, for passengers arriving from town would then be landed on the Exhibition g.ate side of the street, and not have to cross in front of a heavy outgoing traffic; while the vehicles which had convoyed them hither .would take a natural swing round into the Highway and so back to town. There may be other considerations outweighing these, but, on the face of it, the Taxi Owners’ Association appears to jaave good grounds for its contention.
