OCTAGQH The Paramount picture, Crowded Hour,' adapted to the screen from the Broadway stage hit of the same name, is showing at the Oetagoa Theatre. Bebe Daniels is the star in the production, which tells of a pretty telephone girl who becomes a famous dancer and who goes abroad with tha j .soldiers as a " Y" entertainer during j the World War. The ; overture is 'Merry Wives of (Nieolai). ! EMPIHE ' 'lnto the Net,' a story written by Richard E. Enright, CommLssioner of Police of New York, heads the programme at the Empire Theatre. The story is based on the actual experiences of the police in tracing beautiful girls who mysteriously disappear Boh Clayton (the .story runs) tiies to find his sister Madge, who has disappeared, and then tries to prevent the abduction of his fiancee, Natalie Van Cleef. In the end be assists in the rescue of both. A varictv of other pictures are also shown, anil the Empire Orchestra is heard in a lino selection of music. EVERYBODY'S AND KING EDWARD In 'Little Annie Ilooney,' which is .showing at Everybody's and the King Edward Theatres, Mary Pickfoud plays the part of a twelve-year-old daughter of a popular policeman. She is the leader of a gang of youngsters, and is secretly in love with Joe Kelly, a. truck driver." Supporting items are also .screened.
QUEEN'S At. the Queens' Theatre is 'Every Man's Wife,' a story of a woman who tried to win back her husband from a supposed rival by the old method of counter-attack. 'Klainc li;uiimcrst<?m and Herbert Kawiinson are cast in the roles of, the wife and husband respectively. . 'His Supremo Moment' is a lore talc, and is the chief support. PLAZA AND GRAUB The chief attraction at the Grand and Plaza Theatres is 'Circe the Enchantress. ' It is an original story by Vicente Biaseo Ibanez, and is based on the mvthieal Circe, who could turn men into swine, with one wave of her hand. Included on this programme is 'Don Daredevil,' an adventure story, with, tlie popular Jack Jioxie heading the cast.
