FORBURY PARK CARS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Kindly allow me a few linos of your valuable space to comment on the running of the above cars. The lino was completed a few weeks ago, and cars were immediately put on for a short time in the evenings to take the rush to the Exhibition. These cars ran only for about an hour, but, strange to say, no set time-table was made out tor running return cars from the Exhibition after 10 p.m., and as often as not people who went in by Forbury Park cars came homo by some other means. If tho running of these few cars were a feeler to see what extent of traffic was offering, I must say it was a most unbusinesslike method. On Monday lust tho cars commenced running to a limited time-table, but no notification of tho times of running was given in the papers, and once again tho people in the locality of Forbury Park are at a loss to know wbat time cars leave. Tho only notification I have seen is a small notice pinned up at the ticket office opposite the Fountain. Cars run only for a short time in the morning, and do not commence again until near noon, from which time they continue to run until near 8 p.m., when they again stop, and only leave after 10 p.m. as required. Such an indefinite time-table as this does not give the people much confidence to depend on the service. If a definite time-table were adhered to I am sure tho cars would he well patronised, as the population in this locality is large enough to allow the cars to pay as well as the cars run on other lines.—l am, etc., December 16. Eldxket Street.
