WHEAT PRICES
IKE SEASON’S CROP [Pek United Press Association.] ASHBURTON, December 3. A conference of representatives of wheat growers, the Fanners’ Union, the Board of Trade, and of the millers was held to-day to consider the wheat prices. Mr J. Brown (president of the Mid-Canterbury Executive of the Farmers’ Union) presided, and there was an attendance of over fifty. It was resolved, with fc nr dissentient voices, that the Government be asked to take control of the marketing for 1925-26 of the crop at 6s sd, 6s <d, and 6s 9d, f.0.b,, with appropriate monthly increments from March 31.
