They are stirring up trouble in the Mount Hermon district, and are threatening the road to Beirut. Their method is to march on a village, accompanied by mnlcs and camels laden with arms and ammunition secretly obtained, and to arm and incite tho inhabitants to revolt. They then extend thoir> operations, blowing up bridges, and terrorising Christians.” 'Hie correspondent quotes an instance of the intrepidity of the Druses, when a party of twelve recently entered Damascus, sacked a police post, and departed singing.—A- and N.Z.
