MONTHLY MEETING CONCLUDES • i The monthly meeting of the Ota.f^o; Education Board was concluded this morning, there being present—Messrs J. Wallace (chairman), G. Livingstone, J. Smith, L. Sanderson, G. W. wood, J. H. Wilkinson, R. H. Todd, and the Hon, I). T. Fleming. ADDITIONS AND REPAIRS. i Eorbnry; The committee made oppli-l cation lor the renovation of the janitor’s residence. Architect asked authority to have work attended to; cost about £2B.—Granted. tj Musselburgh: The committee wrotoj regarding repairs to gate in- Bowen j street, and stated that it was actually j replacement work (not repair work),| and considered the board was tlmreforej liable for cost. The architect would re-j port further at next meeting.—Hold j over for architect’s report. _ j Ravensbourno School Committee' asked that the hoard take steps to increase the playground area and provide additional school accommodation. —Referred to architect. j GENERAL. _ 1 Owing to the opening of tile Exhibition falling on the date of the imxt meeting it was decided to meet on November 19 and 20. It was decided that the Training College should close on December 10. Accounts amounting to £21,149 were passed for payment.
