EXPLOSION VICTIM LEAVES HOSPITAL. Mrs I). Smith, who was admitted to the hospital as a result of being struck by fragments hurled by the recent explosion in a George street shop, was discharged from the institution to-day.

An Oaraaru Press Association telegram states that the seven-year-old son ot Mr Morrison, of Herbert, has been missing since Sunday at midday. Search parties have been out, but no trace of him has yet been found. A large body of Waitaki School boys joined the search party to-day. As the weather is cold and wet, the boy, who disappeared on the hills, will be having a terrible experience from the cold and hunger if still alive.
