PUBLIC NOTICES. A MISTAKEN IDEA. A GREAT MANY PEOPLE seem to be impressed with the idea—almost a. conviction—that there is nothing for it when ruptured but to resort to the wearing of an uncomfortable and cumbrous truss. After a short time of wear the truss, becoming ineffective in supporting the rupture, pads one after the other are added till the fact is announced to everyone that “ here is a sufferer from hernia.'* As a. matter of fact, trusses are nowi out of fashion, or rapidly becoming so. Sensible people have learned that rupture need not be a permanent malady; that it can be immediately relieved and ultimately cured.
