Tho ‘Daily Telegraph’s’ diplomatic correspondent asserts that the reports from Turkey confirm the stories that four Turkish divisions are destined for the Iraq front. It is also reported that Turkish cavalry are concentrated at El-Zozirah, one of the gates of Iraq. In the face of these facts, together with rumors ascribing to Turkey the intention of mining tho Dardanelles, it is not surprising that tho British Mediterranean Fleet has been ordered to concentrate in north-eastern waters as a precautionary measure. —A. and N.Z.
