LATE SPORTING
LEAGUE TESTS. QUEENSLAND CLAIMS RUBBER. [Per United Press Association*.] , AUCKLAND, October 2. At the council meeting, of the New Zealand Rugby League last evening mention was made that the Press in Australia had given the credit to Queensland for winning the rubber against the New Zealand representative team in Wellington. The Chairman (Mr Carlaw) said this was not the case, as no dominion representatives were included in the thirteen which was known as the combined team. The Chairman reported that he was not satisfied with the relationship that existed between the Canterbury League and the Board of Control governing the interests of Monica Park. The council should take urgent steps to rearrange tho interests of the two bodies, which were evidently not in a very happy position. _ .
