DOUBLE CONTEST.
The Macdonald-Williams contest is attracting raoro_ than local intent. This bout is certain to be a willing millMacdonald is so well known locally that it is unnecessary to elaborate upon his qualifications, flw opponent, Mery Williams, is a top liner, he having met Tommy Uren on two occasions. Mis first fight with Uren was under the mg handicap of reducing weight. Immediately afterwards he outed Corrigan, a South African champion. He then beat Hughia Hinton in the latter s homo town. Williams next went twenty rounds with Monson m West Australia. The decision, a draw was said to hare been a bad one. Williams then met Uren for the second time, and lost on points, the loser putting up a good and plucky effort- In all bis bouts Williams has eight knock-outs to his credit. Both lads for the preliminary have been in strict training for some time past. They should in themselves be a feast for the fans. The box plan for reserves is now open at The Bristol.
